(don't ya think it's about time that we switched it out? It is the

As I thought about it during the day, I remember thinking how funny our garage smelled when I'd open the garage door and pull in the van the last few weeks. Then I remembered that I did see some water on the ground over by there about a month ago, but at that time it was a passing thought and I didn't think anything more of it. If I had, we could have caught it a little sooner and probably wouldn't have had to replace the sheet rock on the box.
Today Rex made several trips to Lowes, and about $600.00 later, we have a new water heater with new connections and all. Even an aluminum tray that fits underneath it just in case it decides to leak again, we won't have the messy mess that we had this time.
Thanks to Dave Smith and Tracy Foutz for all their help. It's great to have friends and neighbors that are willing to pitch in and give us some of their expertise.
The Old
Cleaning the box upon where it sat
The best part of all was the HUGE box that the heater came in. It became a drawing board for Evan and Mason. They set that thing up and started drawing and coloring away. Eventually they came up with the idea that I needed a dressing room to get dressed in, so that's what it became. When Rex put it in our room, I did think it was a lovely screen like they use in bedrooms to break up the space a little bit. The three boys all loved sitting inside it and would have us close it up like a box.

Why buy toys when boys love playing with boxes so much!?
