Trying to cut back

We're trying to cut back on a few things that will help us to be more frugal and save a little more for a 'rainy day', so to speak.
**Rex FINALLY decided to come home for lunch every day. For that I am very grateful. I have been begging him to do this for quite awhile and he finally consented.

**We are not buying nighttime pull-ups for the boys anymore. Those things are EXPENSIVE!!! Instead we bought a few pairs of plastic pant covers that just go over their underwear and it helps a little if they happen to wet the bed. It's proven to be fine in the case of one boy, but the other one has woken up several mornings soaking wet. I tried getting him up to go to the bathroom before I headed to bed a few nights ago and he absolutely would not even try! FRUS-TER-ATING!! Luckily, the next morning was not a morning that he was wet. The last two mornings, however, I've had to pull all the sheets off the bed, including his top quilt and wash it all.

**I'm not shopping as often as I used to just because I'm bored.

**Not that we ate out a ton, but we are trying to not be regulars at the fast food joints. I am trying to buy more fresh fruits and vegetables for our family to eat. We decided to put our fruit (apples, bananas, and oranges) out on the table in a basket so they are more visible. What an ingenious idea if I do say so myself. When the boys are hungry and they see the fruit, they will just grab one and start eating. Rex and I have eaten more fruit that way too. We always kept apples and oranges in the fridge, but then realized they aren't refrigerated in the store so why should they be at home?
