Bees

This past week the boys were in the backyard and I was sitting in one of our patio chairs and happened to look up and see this:

I thought for a minute that it might be some kind of growth on the tree but then quickly saw movement and looked a little closer. Suddenly I realized it was a SWARM of bees.

I thought for sure that it was a beehive so I called Rex at work and he was going to find out from some co workers who the city uses for things such as this.

We were having a pest control guy come to our house the next day to spray for ants, cockroaches, etc. and he said he would take a look at it and see if it was in his 'realm' of work. The next day I went back out to look at it and the darn thing was long gone. No swarm of bees anywhere. Only a few little stragglers.

We asked the pest control guy about it and he said occasionally a female bee lands somewhere and the other bees just congregate with her (That must have been some congregatin').

I am proud to say that we are NOT a new home for a beehive...yet =)
