Several weeks ago I told Rex I was tired of not being able to keep Evan and Mason's room clean- toys were constantly on the floor because they had to pull the toy baskets our from under the beds to play and then they stayed in the middle of the floor between the beds. It was just a joke for trying to keep it all clean. I told Rex it was time to put up the bunk beds. It took about 3 hours but we did it that afternoon. I was surprised Rex went for it. I thought he'd tell me to wait to see what happens with our house hunting. He even went out that afternoon and bought a toy organizer/bin thingy to put all the toys in. Thanks Hon.We're loving the space in their room now. They seem to be loving their "new" arrangement too.
Evan wanted to take the bottom and Mason was thrilled to be on the top.
No falls or anyone getting hurt until tonight. Mason was leaning down to 'see' Evan and fell head first onto the floor. It just so happened that there was a toy air gun right where he landed. He came our screaming. We talked him into holding a little ice pack on it for a few minutes and he sat on Daddy's lap and things seemed to be all better. He finally went to sleep.
Surprisingly, Ty hasn't tried climbing to the top bunk. He's pretty good at obeying the rules.

Great job on the bunk beds! Just in time to take them back down so you can be my neighbor (hope hope).
About your blogging slump, I totally relate and sometimes I feel like there's nothing even going on to write about. But I am so glad you posted Halloween pictures and Evan's birthday pictures--you have such cute kids! Hang in there, Kim! You're doing a great job.
oo! Glad he's ok... How TOTALLY exciting for them! And it sounds like a great plan for keeping things clean too. How fun!!!
Bunk beds are the best! We had the same problem with no room to play on the floor and we bought a bunk bed too. I just think you have the cutest boys. I bet they are so fun to just listen to them playing. Boys are very creative and have a good time together. It is great that they have each other.
I think I'm going to be the depressed one! Where is the newer house? Maybe if it's close enough I'll be alright. I was expecting you to be there to welcome us home in a year. Can't imagine why 6 in the house would be crowded. LOL At least it isn't a "Foutz Addition". You'd have 6 or 7 kids by the time it was done. (Love you Lori and Tracy).
That little Ty looks adorable on the bottom bunk. Hope things are going well with the new house!
You guys are amazing!
