4th of July

The 4th of July this year fell on Sunday. The same day as Cole's baby blessing. We had a great time with all our family at our house for a nice patriotic themed lunch at our house following the blessing. As it started to get dark we took blankets and chairs down to the HOA park at the end of our culdesac and had a great time celebrating with all the neighbors. We visited for a while and the kids played. When it got dark we had great seats for the 4th of July fireworks put on at a nearby high school by the city. Just as the fireworks were finishing the sprinkler from the HOA park came on and sent everyone scrambling. Several neighbors and friend re-convened in our driveway and we continued to visit, set off home made fireworks, and eat popsicles and other snacks. It was a terrific way to finish such an eventful day.
