All Moved In!

We moved into our new home today.

Thank you so much to my mom and brother, Dru
for being here this whole week to help me finish
packing and trying to keep sane with everything going on.

At 4:00 this afternoon, we had about 15 men from our ward
show up to start getting things out of our house.
We had all the beds taken apart and moved into the living
room where everything sat. A few of the really heavy items
were still in their respective rooms and had to be moved with
dollies and a few men.

With all the great help we had, we were done
(stuff in the new house set up and all) by 5:45!
It is amazing how fast a move can go
when you're not moving to far away and you have lots of good help.

Thanks for all those who helped in any way with our move.

Especially thanks to you, MOM, for being here to help me keep on track
and not get to stressed.

Let me put in a few words about my dear mother:

For a few weeks prior to our move, I had been really stressing with
trying to pack my whole house and trying to keep my kids happy
and trying to stay as calm as possible. Even up until the night before
mom came, I felt the pressure of everything.

Mom and Dru came in on Tuesday night, the 12th. That night, I think I slept
better and didn't worry so much because I knew mom was here and that
I could ask her to do anything and she would help me do it all and keep the kids happy.

There's nothing like 'good-ole' mom.
I love you so much, MOM!!!
You literally were my lifesaver this last week!
(I'll post pictures - hopefully sooner rather than later)

That is so cool you moved so close and where able to stay in the same ward. Yes, of course you can add me to your friends list. I will have to stop by and see you one of these days when I drop Kiana off at Shalyns. Take care, and I am sure it is a relief to be in your new place.

MOMS are so awesome!!!

Hi Kim ... I'm so glad you're all moved in. Hopefully things are going well!

Here are the answers to the questions you asked. I could probably track down your email address but I will leave a long comment, instead. :)

First--to backdate posts, look at the box where you compose a new post. At the very bottom (right above the Publish Post button), there's a button that says "Post Options." Click that and then you can change the date and time. Super easy.

Second--I do my collages on Picasa. It's a free photo editing program through Google. If you don't have it downloaded, just go to the google page and search for it. I love it because you can crop pictures, fix redeye, etc. without having to know how to use Photoshop. There's a "collage" button along the bottom and it's really easy to use.

Hope that helps!

So, I'm curious, when I go to Tracy and Lori's ward this week (Lance is coming home TOMORROW!) will you be there? Or did you move completely out of the ward?!
I'm glad your mom was there to help. Like HAH said, "Yay for moms!"
