Paige

Well, I feel guilty for not posting all the time about Paige.  I have so much to write about her that I feel overwhelmed and don't do it at all.  Not that Mason using a Neti Pot is more exciting than her milestones, just that is was a shorter story (see previous post).

Paige is SO. MUCH. FUN.  We love having her in our family.  She brings smiles, joy, and a little more femininity to our home and family.

Here's what she's doing:
- Crawling all over - venturing and exploring more this last week than ever
- Has 4 bottom teeth - no top teeth - they have all come in the past 3 weeks.
- Discovered she can suck on her toes.  HOW FUN!
- Loves to play Patty Cake
- Claps her hands together when you clap yours
- Her hair is really coming in - more than any of the boys had at 7 months
- Sleeps great - has been ever since about 6 weeks old
- Poor little girl is still sleeping in the Port-a-Crib - (Hey, if Cole goes to sleep great and naps great without trying to climb out, why should he NOT sleep in the crib?  Poor boy - we really should get him into a big-boy bed)  BUT, at least her room has some cute girly things in it thanks to Grannie for coming to help mommy do it a few months ago.
- Wearing 12 month clothes - still fits in 9 month clothes but they are getting a little snug.
- Likes eating baby food ok - still prefers to nurse - and she's a great nurser.  (I remember with all our boys, at about 4-5 months I was ready to not be nursing ALL THE TIME - so I was ready to start them on baby food.  With Paige I have never felt that way.  I didn't start her on rice cereal or anything until 5 1/2 months and then have gone slow in introducing new things to her. We just started fruits last week.)  I am trying to make my own baby food because store bought is so expensive and I always seem to be running out of one thing or another.   I bought canned pears and canned peaches in lite syrup and just osterized them and froze them in mini cupcake pans.  I also steamed some frozen beans a few weeks ago and am planning to do carrotts and peas too.  I tried sugar snap peas but they osterized a little on the lumpy side and she doesn't like the texture.  I also have on hand several boxes of rice cereal and baby oatmeal that I mix with the fruit and veggies.
- Has the biggest smile on her face when I get her out of bed in the morning.
- She loves to stand on my belly and push her bum out.  She also does this thing where she bends her head forward and kind of 'bounces'.  I don't know how to explain it.  That may call for a video.

These are pictures of Paige from the last month or so:

She really is a doll and I'm so glad she's in your family! I LOL'd at your comment about the neti pot. I understand about the small things being easier to write about than milestones. I'm glad you got a chance to write about your sweet baby girl.
