Summer Camping Trip

Rex, Evan, Mason, and Ty just got back from a 3 day camping trip. This was a tradition started last summer to explore remote places within our own state. This year, they camped at Eagle Valley Reservoir. They all had a great time fishing, camping, and exploring a few of the small towns along the way. Enjoy the photos below:
Eating Ice Cream in Caliente

Playing with cousins at the Panaca swimming hole

Steps leading down to the swimming hole

Cooling off in the swimming hole.

Hanging out around the campfire.

Exploring the stream below the dam.

Evan and Mason trying their hand at fishing.
The each caught some fish and Mason won
the prize for catching the biggest fish.

Showing off all the fish they caught.  We discovered a lucky
rock on the dam with a hole all the way through it.  When we
needed some extra luck we would send someone over to touch
it and within a few minutes - someone was usually catching
a fish.

Boot Hill Cemetary in Pioche. The cables in the background
held old ore cars that were used to bring the ore out of the mines.

Sign explaining why it was called "Boot Hill"

One of several interesting headstones.  "Shot

On some stairs along a side street in Pioche.

to a store.

A bench for "Democrats" on the left side of the front entrance
of the same store.
