We had a great Memorial Day weekend! We spent the first half of the weekend laying low as I was recovering from having PRK "laser eye surgery" done on my left eye on Thursday. All went well with the procedure and it will be a few weeks before it is completely healed and I can go in and do the right eye. On Sunday we drove to St. George to meet Kelli, Makenzie, Mason and Ty (Mason and Ty had spent the previous week with Grandpa and Grandma Usher) We enjoyed spending the night in the hotel and swimming in the pool the next morning. After checking out of the hotel we drove to Bunkerville to visit the cemetary where my grandparents are buried. After paying our respects we drove down the street to the Bunkerville town park and ate lunch and visited with various aunts, uncles, and cousins. We finished up the day by driving back home in time for a block party in our neighborhood. We had catered some delicious authentic Mexican tacos and the adults enjoyed visiting while the kids played. All in all a wonderful weekend.
